The death toll in the Barcelona terror attack rose to 14 Friday afternoon, less than a day after an Islamic terrorist ran down roughly 100 pedestrians outside a popular shopping center.
Authorities also released the identities of two of the dead on Friday. One, a tourist from Italy, was killed while walking down the street with his wife and five-year-old son and seven-month-old daughter.
Bruno Gulotta, a 35-year-old father of two, was crushed by the terrorist’s Fiat van and killed instantly, The Telegraph reported.
Gulotta’s wife, Martina, managed to pull the couple’s five-year-old son out of harm’s way moments before the vehicle ran down her husband. Both of the couple’s children escaped injury.
A Belgian woman was also listed among the dead, though no personal details have yet been released.
In addition, several people have been reported missing following the attack, including a seven-year-old Australian boy.
Tony Cadman, of Sydney, reached out to media outlets Thursday night, begging for help to locate his lost grandson, Julian Cadman, who was at the scene of the attack with his mother.
The boy’s mother, Jom, was injured in the attack and has been hospitalized in serious but stable condition.
