Two Long Island cops are in hot water for appearing to take a selfie in front of a burning home, according to a report.
The fire wiped out a Uniondale home but nobody was hurt. The cops were caught on video taking the selfie outside the front gate of the burning home.
“The contents of this video are very concerning to the department and are currently under investigation,” the Nassau County Police Department told NBC New York.
“If these officers are found to be in violation of any department rules and regulations, they will be appropriately disciplined.”
Although neighbors were upset to learn what the cops had apparently done, the family living in the destroyed home said they have relatives in law enforcement and were not bothered by it, NBC New York reported.
A few moments later, they approached someone else who was taking a selfie in the street and appeared to ask him to leave the scene.
