Nancy O’Dell has separated from her husband, according to reports.
According to Us Weekly, which first published news of O’Dell’s separation, and The Hollywood Reporter, O’Dell and husband Keith Zubulevich parted in early September, prior to the Donald Trump tape leak, and their split is unrelated to the incident.
The couple were married for more than 10 years, and have a daughter, Ashby Grace, 9. Zubulevich also has two sons from a previous marriage. THR calls the split “amicable.”
The Entertainment Tonight host was forced into the national spotlight last Friday when a leaked 2005 recorded conversation between Trump and Billy Bush was released by The Washington Post.
In it, O’Dell is objectified by Trump as he gossips about trying to have sex with her to Bush, who was her Access Hollywood colleague at that time.
O’Dell returned to Entertainment Tonightas scheduled on Monday following the tape leak (and the second presidential debate, in which the leaked tape was brought up repeatedly).
“Politics aside, I’m saddened that these comments still exist in our society at all,” O’Dell wrote in response to the Trump tape. “When I heard the comments yesterday, it was disappointing to hear such objectification of women.
The conversation needs to change because no female, no person, should be the subject of such crass comments, whether or not cameras are rolling.
Everyone deserves respect no matter the setting or gender. As a woman who has worked very hard to establish her career, and as a mom, I feel I must speak out with the hope that as a society we will always strive to be better.”
Since the Trump tape leaked, an increasing number of women have come forward saying the Republican presidential nominee inappropriately touched, groped, and kissed them without their consent. Trump has called the accounts “pure fiction” and “outright lies.”
Meanwhile, Bush, 44, has been absent from his new gig at the Today show since Friday. The program has suspended him indefinitely pending “further review.”
