Washington – Authorities have issued a warrant for the arrest of a man they say tried to abduct a child from the National Air and Space Museum in Washington.
U.S. Park Police said in a statement Wednesday that they have an arrest warrant for 60-year-old Bernard Drai, who also goes by the last name of Derei.
Park Police Sgt. Anna Rose says Drai was seen approaching a group of children March 3, grabbing a child’s hand and starting to walk away before a chaperone yelled at him and he fled.
Rose says Drai is known to frequently travel to the United States and Canada from Israel and has left the country.
Authorities say they are still pursuing leads on another person seen with Drai at the museum.
