HOWELL – Howell police are looking for a man accused of performing a lewd act during a showing of “The Emoji Movie.”
Police say that a woman watching the movie with her children at the Xscape Movie Theater on Route 9 witnessed the suspect with his hands down his pants, which were unbuttoned and unzipped.
She told police that the man was seated alone in the back row of the theater.
The woman reported the incident to the theater’s manager, who asked the man to leave.
The woman then called police when she returned home.
Police have released a photo of the suspect. He is described as a white, heavyset man in his 20s or 30s. He was wearing a white dress shirt, black pants and a yamaka on his head. He also had facial hair.
