Police conducted a prostitution sweep in Middletown and it resulted in eight arrests.
On June 8th, 2017 the City of Middletown Police, along with assistance from the State Police conducted a prostitution sweep in the downtown area.
The sweep resulted in the arrests of eight individuals:
Yerad Jimenez-Ayala, 40 of Bloomingburg – charged with Patronizing a Prostitute, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
Robert Piatt, 48 of Wurtsboro – charged with Patronizing a Prostitute
Eduardo Balseca, of Wallkill – charged with Patronizing a Prostitute, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance
Sanjaya Lowe, 34, of Middletown – charged with Patronizing a Prostitute
Antonio Esposito, 47, of Chester – charged with Patronizing a Prostitute
Naftuly Mendlovitz, 38, of Monroe – charged with Patronizing a Prostitute
Joel Epstein, 36, of Monroe – charged with Patronizing a Prostitute
Daniel Rios, 26, of Middletown – charged with Patronizing a Prostitute
All subjects were arraigned in the City of Middletown Court. Dispositions are not known at this time.
