A man set fire to several religious texts inside a bus belonging to a Jewish school in Brooklyn, authorities said.
The bus was parked near the corner of Division and Bedford avenues in Williamsburg when the suspect forced his way inside through the rear emergency door at around 6:40 p.m. last Thursday.
He then pulled several religious books out of the glove compartment and set them on fire, causing damage to the front of the bus, police said.
The suspect is described as a light skinned man with a chin-strap beard and was last seen wearing a sweatsuit and dark colored sneakers.
The incident is being investigated as potential hate crime.
