HE’LL soon become ex-Mr Scary Spice number two after wife Mel B filed for divorce.
Stephen Belafonte, who has a daughter with the former pop star, is reportedly facing the end of their decade-long union.
And things got worse for the 41-year-old when he was caught on camera being surrounded by federal agents outside his Hollywood Hills home, in an alleged firearms search.
Following the divorce announcement, The Sun revealed how Stephen was involved in a secret red wine-fuelled threesome with Mel B and socialite Lady Victoria Hervey.
But who exactly is he? Here’s all you need to know:
Who is Stephen Belafonte?
He was born Stephen Stansbury on 18 May 1975 in Hollywood, California.
When he was 12, he, his mother and six siblings moved to Point Pleasant, New Jersey.
When Stephen was 18 he moved back to Los Angeles and changed his surname to Belafonte.
Stephen studied at Loyola Marymount University and after graduating, set up a film production company called Remag.
Has Stephen been married before?
In 1997 he married Nancy Carmell in Los Angeles but the union only lasted two months after she fled to her native Honolulu and applied for the marriage to be annulled.
He then had a relationship with model Nicole Contreras and their daughter Giselle was born in 2004.
The year before, he was charged with beating Nicole at their home during a drunken row, a charge he didn’t contest.
But he later said he didn’t realise he had admitted to battering his partner and the admission came at a moment when he was ‘confused and stressed’.
His plea was rejected.
The couple began dating on February 2007 after they met on a set of a film called Talk.
After a whirlwind romance, they married in June 2007 in Las Vegas and a year later renewed their vows in front of family and friends in Egypt.
On September 1 2011, Mel gave birth to their daughter Madison.

On Monday March 20 2017 it was reported that Mel, full name Melanie Brown, had filed for divorce citing ‘irreconcilable differences’, asked for joint legal custody of Madison and has requested that spousal support for Stephen is terminated.
The Sun’s Bizarre column exclusively revealed that Mel’s friends and family were were privately celebrating her decision to to walk away from what they saw as Stephen’s controlling behaviour.
According to reports, Stephen will only get a fraction of the Spice Girl’s £48million fortune due to a prenuptial agreement.
Mel’s brother-in-law Jeremiah, 43, revealed he believes the couple’s decision to liven things up in the bedroom sparked jealousy in their relationship and a year ago Stephen shared an Instagram snap joking about the claims that the pair enjoyed and open marriage.
The raunchy snap, which was posted to Stephen’s Instagram page, shows a man resting his face on one of the women’s thigh and his hand grasping the leg of the other.
Kim Kardashian uploaded it to her Instagram page, and then Stephen shared it to his own with the caption; “Is that my mouth??? Is that @officialmelb ring??”
