A 70-year-old Japanese crime boss ordered an attack on a nurse in retaliation for botched plastic surgery on his genitals, prosecutors say.
During his trial Monday in Fukuoka District Court, about 200 miles from Hiroshima, prosecutors said Satoru Nomura ordered the nurse to be attacked in 2013 because he was dissatisfied with the results of the surgery on his privates, according to the online newspaper Japan Today.
The nurse was stabbed in the neck and chest on a street in Fukuoka, a town in the southwest section of the island, about six months after the surgery.
Prosecutors called the attack “organized retaliation” because Nomura “unjustifiably resented the failed surgery,” ordering a senior member of his crime syndicate, Yoshinobu Nakata, to take action against the nurse.
Nakata, 41, admitted that he had “given a lift to a perpetrator” in the attack but said he had no intention of killing her, Japan Today reported.
Prosecutors said Nakata has been indicted in two other attacks and they’re trying to prove they were all ordered by Nomura.
