The wife of Orlando mass shooter Omar Mateen has been arrested in connection with the attack on an LGBT nightclub last year, according to a report.
FBI agents took Noor Salman into custody at her home near San Francisco, The New York Times reported Monday.
A source said Salman was charged with obstruction.
Mateen, her husband, killed 49 people at Orlando’s Pulse nightclub in June, in the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history.
He died after a gunbattle with police in the club.
Salman was questioned by authorities after the shooting and there were reports that she might be charged for failing to report her husband’s murderous plans.
But she remained free for months and moved from Florida to several locations around Southern California, where her family lives.
She even gave an interview to the New York Times in November, in which she said she was “unaware” of her husband’s evil intentions.
“I don’t condone what he has done. I am very sorry for what has happened. He has hurt a lot of people,” she said.
Salman last month filed to change the name of the son she had with Mateen so that the boy would not share the killer’s surname.
The FBI could not immediately be reached for comment.
