Tal Benyezri, French singer of Israeli descent, complained about being target of racist remarks on social media.
The young woman, living in France since her childhood, said that she was the victim of hate messages on Twitter and Facebook often targeting her religion and her ethnic origins, Belgian daily Le Soir reported on Sunday.
Tal, a 26-year-old singer, said that she ignores such heinous remarks and that she learnt to be indifferent towards them, whilst noting that she feels more like a world citizen than French or Israeli.
With approximately 600,000 people, France is home to the world’s third largest Jewish community after the US and Israel.
