The NYPD has installed several security cameras around the Queens park where jogger Karina Vetrano was strangled and possibly sexually assaulted earlier this month, officials said.
Eight cameras are now dotting the perimeter of Spring Creek Park in Howard Beach after being installed earlier this week.
City officials are said to be considering putting more security devices inside the park as well, CBS2 reported.
Vetrano, 30, was slain while running along a desolate path inside the park when her attacker choked her to death on Aug. 2. It is believed the killed also sexually assaulted her.
The reward being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Vetrano’s killer has topped $300,000.
More than $265,000 has been raised privately through a GoFundMe page set up by the woman’s family.
