A-18-year-old jewish girl from monsey is in hospital tonight fighting for her life after she was struck by a vehicle late Wednesday evening on route 59 in monsey.
The accident took place at approximately 9:00 p.m. when the girl was attempting to cross over route 59 near Augusta road, the vehicle traveling route 59 east bound struck the girl, Hatzolah responded to the scene and after treating her on the scene transported her to westchester medical center in critical condition. Ramapo Police is on the scene investigating the crash.
The Girls younger sister who was with her at the time of the accident, witnessed her sister getting struck, but was shaken up and couldn’t provide any information for the investigators how he accident occurred, a source said.
