A Georgia man has been arrested following a gunfire battle with cops after allegedly shooting his grandmother and killing her husband.
Patrick Canada, 25, is charged with malice murder and aggravated assault, accused of shot and injured Pamela Lynn Henn, 64.
He also gunned down and killed his grandmother’s husband Douglas Keith Henn, 59, police say.
The 25-year-old, who lived with his grandmother and step-grandfather at their home, was heard by 911 dispatchers arguing with the couple moments before he shot them.
Police responded to a call about a domestic dispute at the home on Lake Hollow Court in the Chapel Hill subdivision, which is a golf course community in Douglas County on Sunday evening at 9.15pm.
When officers arrived they found Canada armed with a handgun, who began shooting at police,
‘Our officer arrived on scene and he heard a disturbance inside the house at which time he found the door to be open and to check on the safety of the individuals inside, he began to go inside the house where he was confronted by a suspect armed with a handgun,’ said Douglasville Police Major J. R. Davidson.

Canada opened fire at the officer, who shot back until his gun malfunctioned.
Altman retreated to his patrol car for his rifle, at which point he saw Pamela Henn fleeing from her grandson out of the house.
She had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to hospital. She survived the incident but her condition is unknown.
The dead body of Douglas Henn was found in a pool of blood with multiple apparent gunshot wounds at the property.
When Canada attempted to run, Altman confronted him outside the property and arrested him without any further shots being fired.
Police have not yet released a motive for the shooting.

A Douglasville Police Department spokesman said: ‘The reason for the shooting is still under investigation by the Major Case Unit, but it appears as though Patrick Canada and his step-grandfather were having an argument before Mr. Canada retrieved a firearm and began shooting.’
‘The Douglasville Police Department and the Major Case Unit are investigating the incident. He is currently being held in jail without bond.
A mugshot was released showing Canada covered in blood splatter. It is not clear whether the blood is his own or belongs to his victims.
Pamela, at administrator of operations and Douglas Henn, a sales manager at Automated Packaging Systems, were only married in May 2012, according to their social media posts.
