The hooligan with many hats has struck again.
A notorious Manhattan bank robber who sports different headgear and sunglasses at every heist held up an Upper East Side HSBC bank on Friday, officials said.
The bearded robber entered the bank on E. 89th St. near Madison Ave. about 2:45 p.m. Friday and slipped a threatening note to the teller, cops said. He made off with an undisclosed amount of money.
The crook has been hitting banks in Midtown, the Village, the Upper East Side and Harlem since March 8, when he robbed Santander bank on Lexington Ave. near E. 35th St., officials said.
He is also accused of robbing a second Santander bank, on Third Ave. near E. 44th St., on May 12. On May 27, he tried to re-rob the Lexington Ave. Satander only to walk out empty handed, according to cops.
Over the next month, he went on to target three different HSBC banks before hitting a fourth HSBC Friday.
Each time, he wears something different on his head, from a bicycle helmet to a wool hat and scarf to a baseball cap, officials said. No firearms were ever shown and no one was harmed.
