A judge has granted Amber Heard a temporary restraining order against Johnny Depp.
Heard filed a domestic violence restraining order against Depp on Friday, arriving at court in Los Angeles with her lawyer, Samantha Spector, “with photos showing various bruises … she claims Depp inflicted various times during their marriage,” according to TMZ.
Heard said in a sworn declaration that Depp threw her cellphone at her during a fight Saturday, striking her cheek and eye, reports the Associated Press.
She also wrote that the actor pulled her hair, screamed at her and repeatedly hit her and violently grabbed her face.
She said the actor was high and drunk when the incident occurred.
Heard submitted a picture of her bruised face when she applied for a restraining order Friday. The actress filed for divorce on Monday after 15 months of marriage.
Early Friday afternoon, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Carl H. Moor ordered Depp to stay 100 yards away from Heard until a hearing is conducted on June 17. The judge also ruled that Depp shouldn’t try to contact Heard. Depp is currently in Portugal for a performance with his band Hollywood Vampires.
In Heard’s divorce filing she sought spousal support, and two days later, Depp’s legal team responded with a ‘no,’ asking the judge to deny her request. Depp also requested that Heard pay her own attorney fees, according to court documents cited by The Associated Press.
“Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life. Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly,” a rep for the actor told People in a statement on Thursday.
Depp’s lawyer is Laura Wasser, an A-list divorce lawyer-to-the-stars (such as Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom) who is known to be a tough negotiator. Heard’s lawyer, Spector, is listed as a family-law specialist in Los Angeles. Both actors cited irreconcilable differences for the breakup.
Depp, 52, and Heard, 30, married in February 2015 in an intimate beach ceremony on Depp’s private island in the Bahamas, one year after revealing they were engaged. They have no children together.
The former couple met on the set of the film The Rum Diary in 2009. At the time, Depp was still with his partner of 14 years and mother of his two children, Vanessa Paradis, and he later stated that his relationship with Heard did not begin until after he and Paradis separated in 2012.
Amber Heard has accused Johnny Depp of domestic violence — and is offering her own bruised face as proof.
The “Magic Mike XXL” actress, 30, came to Los Angeles Superior Court Friday in a successful bid to get a restraining order against Depp.
The 52-year-old Depp, who’s currently in Europe, must stay 100 yards away from Heard, TMZ reports.
Heard also gets to stay in the couple’s LA home — but a judge nixed her bid to keep the couple’s Range Rover or keep Depp away from their dogs.
The judge also denied Heard’s request that Depp be forced into anger management classes and pay her $50,000 a month for legal fees.
Heard wore a somber black dress and no apparent makeup, and her face still bore red marks she says are from Depp smashing an iPhone into her eye during a fight the previous Saturday in their Los Angeles home.
That alleged violence was nothing new, the stunning blonde says in legal documents obtained by the gossip website.
During their entire relationship — including their 15-month marriage — Depp, 52, was verbally and physically abusive, according to the docs, which Heard submitted to court Friday in support of her restraining order request.
In one past row, during her birthday party in their home, Depp showed up “inebriated and high,” TMZ says Heard’s docs allege.
After guests left the party, they argued, and Depp threw a magnum-sized champagne bottle at a wall, and a wine glass directly at her, the docs allege.
Depp also allegedly grabbed Heard by the hair and shoved her to the floor.
The fractious couple did not see each other for a month — until Saturday night, when they again fought.
Heard is claiming that during that fight, the drunk and high star threw objects around their home, and smashed her right eye with an iPhone.
The above image, one of several Heard showed a judge Friday, shows what she is alleging was the resulting bruising to her face.
Depp offered her money to stay quiet about the incident, TMZ reports — but instead, she filed for divorce on Monday.
Heard claims she has an ear-witness to the violence — she was on the phone with a friend when Depp grabbed her phone. “Call the cops!” Heard says she screamed to her friend. The friend called 911 and Los Angeles police went to the apartment, but Depp had already fled.
Heard declined to give a statement to arriving officers, but police told her she could call back if she changed her mind, the gossip site reported.
TMZ is also reporting that LAPD sources are insisting that Heard had no visible injuries when cops came to her home Saturday night.
Sources close to Depp add that the very next day, Sunday, Heard was tagged in an Instagram photo of herself and two pals. No injuries are visible in that photograph — although Heard’s long bangs obscure her right eye.
The couple, who have been married for 15 months, began divorce proceedings Monday when Heard filed a petition for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. She is also asking for spousal support.
Reps for Heard and Depp did not immediately return requests for comment.
On Thursday, Depp addressed the split in a statement to People: “Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life. Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.”
