Disturbing video appears to show a woman being choked by an NYPD sergeant trying to restrain her.
The video, shot from inside a car and posted to YouTube over the weekend, shows the woman attempting to sprint away from the sergeant, who then grabs her from behind and wraps his hand around her throat.
The cop then walks her backward and holds her by the neck against a parked red car.
The circumstances and location of the incident were not immediately known, and the NYPD did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
