Westchester County, NY – The man who reportedly is at the center of a federal investigation into New York City police corruption was suspended Tuesday as a chaplain for the Westchester County Department of Public Safety.
As reported earlier today, the FBI launched an initial investigation into high ranking NYPD officials who had close connections with Jewish NYPD chaplain and businessman Jeremy Reichberg, a prominent Jewish activist in Borough Park.
The Journals News is reporting, after learning of the probe Westchester County police Commissioner George Longworth wrote to Reichberg Tuesday, suspending him as a chaplain pending the outcome of the federal probe.
Reichberg has held the volunteer Westchester police chaplaincy since June 2013.
