The Jewish porn star who was accused of sexual assault by three former girlfriends is facing a new allegation.
California officials are accusing James Deen’s production company, Third Rock Enterprises, of not providing condoms and proper vaccines to their employees, exposing them to sexually transmitted diseases.
The Guardian reports that the proposed penalty amounts to $77,875. Third Rock Enterprises has been under investigation since December, when they refused to turn over documents showing that they were following safety regulations.
Cal/OSHA, the division of occupational safety in California, was issued a warrant from Los Angeles court to investigate the company with a site inspection. The state issued nine violations including death or serious harm from hazardous conditions.
n February, California rejected regulations to force porn stars to use condoms, but residents will be able to vote on the measure on their November ballot.
California has existing health laws that require protective barriers for workers who come into contact with bodily fluids, but are typically applied to the medical field.
Deen, 29, is a self-proclaimed feminist who used to be known as the “boy next door” of the porn industry.
In November, his former girlfriend Stoya, also an adult entertainer, accused him of rape on Twitter. Two other ex-girlfriends who work in the porn industry also came forward with allegations.
