An NYPD sergeant was arrested for beating up his wife during a fight at their Staten Island home, authorities said.
Thomas Kennedy was charged with assault early Monday following the incident, which started as a a verbal dispute before turning physical, cops said.
During the fight, Kennedy pulled his wife out of bed by her legs, causing her to injure her back.
The woman dialed 911 and responding officers cuffed the sergeant and processed him down at the 121 Precinct, cops said.
He has been suspended without pay, the department said.
