A young child and along with his mother were R”L struck and a vehicle in Highland Park, NJ, on Shabbos afternoon.
Sources tell that a vehicle jumped the curb on Raritan Ave and Columbia Avenue – directly across the street from Agudah of Edison and Highland Park.
Tragically, 6-year-old Chaim Kraus Z’L was Niftar from his massive injuries.
His mother is currently in surgery.
Mrs. Kraus was walking her child to Pirchei at Shul when the accident occurred.

A 6-year-old boy was killed and his mother was injured when a car jumped a curb and hit them as they walked on a New Jersey sidewalk, officials said Sunday.
The 2013 Lexus, driven by 21-year-old Shang Zhen Huang, struck the mother and child as they walked along Raritan Avenue in Highland Park shortly after 3 p.m. Saturday, according to the prosecutor’s office and police.
Chaim Kraus was pronounced dead at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. His 37-year-old mother was hospitalized in critical condition.
Huang was arrested on charges of aggravated assault. It wasn’t immediately clear if he had a lawyer who could comment on his behalf.
