One person was killed Tuesday in a two-vehicle crash when the man’s car collided head on with a car carrying four on-duty US Secret Service agents in Wakefield, N.H., authorities said.
Bruce Danforth, 45, was driving Mercury Sable on Route 16 south in Wakefield at about 7 p.m. when his car crossed the solid yellow line and smashed head-on into a Ford Taurus, officials said.
Four on-duty Secret Service agents were in the Taurus, and all were taken to Frisbee Memorial Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The names of the agents were not released.
Danforth was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two passengers in Danforth’s vehicle were taken to two hospitals for treatment of unspecified injuries: Kristina Buswell, 21, and Natasha Meroski, 35.
