James Deen, the so-called “nice Jewish guy” of porn, has been accused of rape.
Deen’s ex-girlfriend Stoya, also an adult entertainer and writer, took to Twitter on Saturday to make her case. “That thing where you log in to the internet for a second and see people idolizing the guy who raped you as a feminist,” she wrote. “That thing sucks.”
In a second tweet, she added that 29-year-old Deen, born Bryan Sevilla, held her down and had sex with her even after she said no, and used a safe word.
In an official statement to Buzzfeed News, Stoya said that she was “not available through any communication channels (including text, cell phone, twitter, email) until December 17th.”
Joanna Angel, another ex-girlfriend of Deen’s, tweeted her support to Stoya: “You have my support @stoya. I’m here for you.”
According to the Daily Mail, Stoya announced that the two were dating during an interview with the Huffington post in July 2013. The date of their break up is unclear, but thought to be “some time in 2014.”
Neither Deen nor Stoya have tweeted since Saturday evening, when the accusation first hit the Internet.
