A veteran NYPD sergeant accused of splashing semen on a civilian employee as she walked down a hallway at One Police Plaza has been criminally charged for the sick act, prosecutors announced Wednesday in Manhattan court.
Sgt. Michael Iscenko, 54, allegedly approached the administrative aide from behind and threw the substance on her leg and shoe January 23, The Post exclusively reported in July.
Iscenko was finally arrested at One Police Plaza Wednesday morning, authorities said.
“Not guilty,” he answered softly, his hands cuffed behind his back, at his arraignment on misdemeanor sexual abuse charges in Manhattan Supreme Court.
Assistant District Attorney Emily Ching recommended that Iscenko plead guilty to the charge and complete four years of group therapy at the Mustard Seed Program.
Justice Melissa Jackson set bail at $3,000, which was posted by bondsmen Ira Judelson.
Investigators found the victim’s shoe and clothing among Iscenko’s possession, according to court papers.
Iscenko, who was assigned to the Organized Crime Control Bureau, was suspended following the bizarre incident.
The victim, a workplace acquaintance, immediately reported the strange attack to her supervisors.
The substance on her leg was tested, and was confirmed to be semen, law-enforcement sources said.
In July the Manhattan district attorney’s office obtained a warrant ordering the sergeant to provide a DNA sample so that a lab can determine if the substance is a match.
The authorities haven’t disclosed the test’s results. Iscenko lives on Long Island and is divorced.
His defense lawyer John D’Alessandro declined to comment.
