The man who shot to fame by spending more than $100,000 on plastic surgery to look like Justin Bieber has been found dead.
Tobias “Toby” Strebel’s body was found at a Motel 6 in California’s San Fernando Valley on Aug. 21, TMZ reported this week.
Strebel, 35, was first reported missing on Aug. 18.
Law enforcement officials say drugs were found in Strebel’s room, but an exact cause of death is not yet known. Police also say his disappearance could have been brought on by a recent breakup with a boyfriend.
Strebel appeared on TLC’s “My Strange Addiction,” and his journey to become a pop star was also chronicled on the popular plastic surgery show “Botched.”
A rep for “Botched” had no comment on Strebel’s death.
