The terrifying moment a plane started rolling from side to side as pilots attempted to land in the middle of a storm has been caught on camera.
In the footage taken by YouTube user 17Splinter over the weekend, the KLM Royal Dutch Airlines plane can be seen wobbling dramatically as it’s hit by strong winds during the approach to Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport.
The skilled pilots of the Boeing 777 passenger flight from Osaka managed to land it safely.
The landing occurred as the Netherlands was hit with its worst July storm ever, with wind gusts exceeding 75 miles per hour measured at Schiphol Airport.
Conditions were so bad that a “code red” alert was issued by the Netherlands meteorological agency.
