REDONDO BEACH, Calif. – A homicide investigation is underway after reality TV star Loredana Nesci was found dead inside a home in Redondo Beach Wednesday morning, Eyewitness News has learned.
Redondo Beach police dispatch received a call from a distraught male around 7:20 a.m.
When officers arrived in the 1900 block of Nelson Avenue, they found Nesci suffering from an apparent stab wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives arrested 51-year-old Robert Reagan, Nesci’s live-in boyfriend, for murder.
“We do believe foul play was involved so a homicide investigation is occurring at this time,” Sgt. Fabian Saucedo of the Redondo Beach Police Department said.
Police said Reagan was the one who placed the initial emergency call to police.
“He indicated that something had occurred. The officers went in to check on the welfare of the female that lives there and they found a deceased female inside the residence,” Saucedo said.
Neighbors told Eyewitness News they heard the couple arguing constantly.
“They were always kind of yelling back and forth at each other. It was more often than not, I would say, but nothing to where you would think someone would kill someone,” neighbor Adam Gorelick said.
Friends say her true love was the couple’s 5-year-old son.
“She loved Rocco so much. That kid was her entire life,” friend Toni Moorhead said.
Redondo Beach police say he was not home at the time of the crime. The motive for the fatal stabbing remains under investigation.
Nesci, a former Los Angeles Police Department officer turned criminal defense attorney, had her own reality show on the Sundance Channel called “Loredana, ESQ.”
According to the show, the couple was in the process of renovating their home and was struggling with mounting bills.
Reagan is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.
