Successful American singer Mariah Carey is expected to arrive in Israel for the very first time for a private visit, the Pplus magazine has learned. Unfortunately, she won’t be performing in the country.
The Grammy-winning singer was scheduled to give a concert in Israel in 2004, but the show we canceled after producers failed to find a suitable venue.
According to the singer’s associates, the visit is expected to take place in the next two weeks, pending any last-minute changes. The associates say that a successful visit may prompt Carey to consider performing in Israel in the future.
The American diva is expected to arrive in Israel with her good Israeli friend, Liron Dagan.
Carey made quite a few headlines in the past year, mainly following different dramas in her private life, including her separation from husband Nick Cannon, the father of her twins Monroe and Moroccan, and a number of controversial shows during her world tour.
On the professional level, however, it was a productive year: She released a new album and signed a contract for a series of concerts in Las Vegas.
