A South Florida family woke up Sunday morning to find a menacing, anti-Semitic message on their vehicle, and they said it is all because of their religion.
For the Fields family, they never expected to wake up Sunday morning to find the words, “[expletive remove] Jews” and a swastika on their car on their Pine Tree Drive property. “Then we noticed my husband’s car was written all over as well,” said Esther Fields.
Miami Beach Police are currently investigating.
Back on July of 2014, WSVN covered a similar case. The words “Jew” and “Hamas” were written on a vehicle. Another vehicle was pelted by eggs.
“I had four police cars and a crime scene unit [at my house], and they take it very seriously, these hate crimes, and they’re certainly going to investigate,” said Esther. “It’s pretty brazen. There are people out on Saturday, lots of people, and they didn’t seem to care.”
The Fields are hoping that the person, or people, responsible for the act will be caught. “You see this, and you just think of the Holocaust, and you think that it’s awful,” said Dinah.
If you have any information on this act of vandalism, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
