Casey Anthony, the Orlando mom who disappeared from the public eye after being acquitted of her daughter Caylee’s murder in 2011, was reportedly spotted on Saturday, and is said to have settled down as a resident of West Palm Beach, Florida.
Ironically, Anthony was seen running the streets on Mother’s Day, and was taking part in the Women for Women 5K at Bryant Park in Lake Worth, according to the Daily Mail.
A Florida resident snapped multiple photos of the woman who appeared to be Anthony, and sent them over to the “KJV Show,” a popular morning radio program in the area. The photo quickly circulated on social media platforms.
Anthony has kept an extremely low profile since she was cleared of first-degree murder – a decision that left people all over the nation scratching their heads.
It was suggested by her attire – a baseball cap pulled down over her eyes and large sunglasses – that she may not have wanted to be noticed by anyone, and she thought she did a good enough job camouflaging herself among the other runners . . . nope.
Florida state records revealed that Anthony, 29, recently obtained a new driver’s license, and declared that she now lives in a 2,000-square-foot house in the south-side Toledo neighborhood of West Palm, the Daily Mail reported.
Anthony’s former defense attorney Cheney Mason told CNN last summer that his client “has a lot of world left to have to deal with.”
“She can’t go to a beauty parlor, she can’t go shopping to a department store, she can’t go to a restaurant, she can’t even go to McDonald’s. She can’t do anything,” Mason explained, noting that no one can trust her.
Anthony has not been seen in public for the last two years – since her bankruptcy hearing in 2013 – because she was receiving death threats on a daily basis.
During the two-month 2011 trial into the death of her daughter, Caylee, whose skeletal remains were found in woodland five months after she disappeared, Anthony became America’s most hated woman. Her trial was deemed as the most high profile case since OJ Simpson’s.
The move signifies her attempt to start her life over, but the world has not forgotten about her or the devastating case. They were not afraid to air their hatred for Anthony out on Twitter.
In celebration of Mother’s Day, most people thanked their moms for being “way better than Casey Anthony.”
