British pop star Robbie Williams landed in Israel Thursday evening ahead of his very first concert in the Jewish state this Saturday.
Williams landed with his private Boeing jet in Ben Gurion Airport together with his wife, Turkish American actress Ayda Field, their daughter Theodora Rose and son Charlton Valentine.
Williams’ father, Robert, who will also sing at the concert joined them along with the girls three caregivers.
Williams defied calls by Israel-boycott supporter and Pink Floyd front-man Rodger Waters, who urged him to cancel his show or give up his role in UNICEF. Waters accused Williams of “a chilling indifference” to Palestinian children in an open letter published Tuesday in Salon.
In a recent interview, Williams told that Israel was the place he was most looking forward to visiting on his current tour.
