GREENWICH, Conn. – FBI agents have arrested a woman suspected of robbing a northern New Jersey bank earlier this month while wearing a bright red wig.
Special Agent Barbara Woodruff in Newark tells NJ.com the arrest took place in Atlantic City. The woman’s name and the charges have not been released.
A wig-wearing bandit walked into Glen Rock Savings Bank on Feb. 18 and stole more than $100,000. A long-barreled paintball handgun was recovered not far from the scene.
Police noted the bandit shared a similar description of a suspect wanted in the robbery of a Greenwich, Connecticut, bank on Jan. 30.
The FBI has not confirmed whether the heists are linked.
