A leading young Democrat and de Blasio administration employee has a secret taste for sickening kiddie porn that involves baby girls as young as 6 months old, court papers revealed Friday.
Jacob Schwartz, 29, was busted for allegedly keeping more than 3,000 disgusting images and 89 videos on a laptop after downloading the filth from the internet.
The illegal smut shows “young nude females between the approximate ages of 6 months and 16, engaging in sexual conduct… on an adult male,” court papers say.
Schwartz surrendered to NYPD computer-crimes investigators in Manhattan’s 13th Precinct on Thursday morning, sources said.
Schwartz is the president of the Manhattan Young Democrats and the downstate region vice president of the New York State Young Democrats.
He’s employed as a $66,360-a-year computer programmer analyst in the city Department of Design and Construction, where he works on the “Build It Back” Hurricane Sandy recovery and resiliency program.
Schwartz was hired after working there as an intern in fiscal 2015, records show.
According to his online biography, Schwartz got involved in politics at a young age, helping his father — labor lawyer Arthur Schwartz — campaign for Democratic district leader in Greenwich Village.
The elder Schwartz served as New York counsel to Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’ failed presidential campaign, and was also the campaign treasurer for law professor and liberal activist Zephyr Teachout when she challenged Gov. Andrew Cuomo for the 2014 Democratic nomination.
Jacob Schwartz was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child under 16, both felonies, and released on $7,500 bail.
A second-generation Democratic insider with a job in the de Blasio adminsitration was fired Friday following his arrest on charges he kept a sickening stash of kiddie porn involving baby girls.
Jacob Schwartz, 29, was also replaced as president of the Manhattan Young Democrats, which issued a statement saying politicos there were “shocked” by the allegations against him.
“MYD maintains a deep and abiding respect for our judicial system, and the sacred principle that individuals are innocent until proven guilty, but the nature of these accusations required us to take immediate action,” the group said.
Schwartz’s name and photo were also scrubbed Friday from the Web site of the New York State Young Democrats, where he was listed as downstate region vice president until shortly after The Post broke the news of his arrest.
Officials at that group didn’t return emails seeking comment.
Schwartz allegedly admitted having more than 3,000 disgusting images and 89 videos on a laptop after downloading the filth from the internet.
The illegal smut shows “young nude females between the approximate ages of 6 months and 16, engaging in sexual conduct…on an adult male,” court papers say.
Schwartz’s father —- leading labor lawyer and prominent Greenwich Village Democrat Arthur Schwartz —- called his son’s case “a personal tragedy.”
“He’s already in therapy for this,” he added.
City Hall described Jacob Schwartz as a “temporary computer programmer analyst” with the Department of Design and Construction who was hired in May 2015, and said he no longer had access to city offices, computers and emails.
“Obviously, these are extremely serious allegations. This is a junior-level agency employee with no connection to the Mayor or City Hall,” spokeswoman Melissa Grace said.
“He is being terminated immediately, and the agency is cooperating with investigators.”
Schwartz, who was initially hired as a intern, was making $66,360 a year, records show.
During his arraignment Thursday night, defense lawyer James Roth suggested that “his actions were really reflective of somebody who is crying out for help,” according to a transcript of the proceedings.
Schwartz, who’s charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child under 16, both felonies, was released after posting $7,500 bail.
